About Me — The Cold-Footed Healthcare Worker Behind Psyche Socks
(yes, I know… no one knows what that job is. I’ve stopped explaining).
Chicago teaches you quickly what comfort really means — long winters, long days, real work. After years on my feet in hospitals and commuting through the city, I became highly selective about what I wear. Socks, in particular, failed quietly. Most were an afterthought, yet they were the first thing to touch the ground every day. So I decided to build my own standard.
I didn’t want “another sock brand.” I wanted something designed with intention. I worked closely with designers, tested fabrics myself, and traveled to factories — overseeing everything from yarn selection to knitting density, fit, and long-term wear. I wear-tested every sample. I adjusted. I rejected more than I approved.
Every Psyche Socks piece is personally reviewed and checked by me — materials, construction, fit, and performance. We design many pieces. We do not release everything.
We release only what earns its place.
The result is understated, functional luxury:
Quiet pieces. High standards. No compromises.
